Problems we fix
Dishes come out dirty or gritty
Blocked spray-arm jets, a clogged filter, a failing wash pump or a water temperature problem.
Standing water in the bottom
Blocked filter or sump, a failed drain pump, a clogged air gap, or a garbage disposal knockout plug that was never removed.
Leaking onto the floor or into the cabinets
Door gasket, door seal at the base, a cracked hose or a leaking pump seal.
Won't start or won't fill
Door latch switch, control board, water inlet valve or a closed supply valve.
Stops mid-cycle
Heating circuit, thermistor or control board fault.
Won't drain but the pump runs
An obstruction in the drain path — often glass, seeds or a bone fragment in the sump.
Dishes still wet at the end
Heating element, vent flap or rinse aid dispenser issue.
Noisy grinding or humming
Foreign object in the chopper or a failing circulation pump.
Common Questions
A small amount in the sump is normal. Anything above that is a drain restriction or a failed drain pump.
Often it's a cleaning issue in the filter and sump, which we can resolve. If it persists, it can point to a drain hose routing problem.
